VLJ Construction Services provides asphalt milling for Florida roadway and commercial resurfacing projects. We support FDOT Section 327 mill-and-resurface work, county and municipal pavement preservation, and commercial site milling for parking lot reconstruction.
Milling Services
- Profile milling (1.5-2.5 inch removal for surface course refresh)
- Full-depth milling (3-5+ inch removal for structural rehabilitation)
- Spot milling for utility cuts, patches, and tie-ins
- Wedge and leveling cuts for grade correction
- RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement) production and stockpile delivery
Equipment and Capacity
We operate Wirtgen milling equipment across Florida, supported by a 100-plus tri-axle truck hauling network for cuttings haul. Truck-mounted scale systems track production by load for owner verification.
FDOT Spec Compliance
Our crews work to FDOT Standard Specifications Section 327 (Milling of Existing Asphalt Pavement) including grade control tolerances, cross-slope verification, and cuttings disposal documentation. We provide FDOT-format daily production logs for prime contractor records.
Choosing Profile vs Full-Depth
Profile milling is appropriate when the underlying pavement structure is sound (no alligator cracking, no rutting > 0.5 inch). Full-depth milling is the right call when structural distress requires removal beyond the surface course. We provide consultation on the right depth for each project.
